DMI ref. omg184 Image title: Dufay color film reseau
The tri-color reseau of Dufaycolor, a 1930s to 1950s additive color film process. The dyed matrix shown here was laminated on the film base base, which was coated with a monochrome emulsion. When the film was exposed through the base and reversal-processed, the positive image transmitted light through the appropriate color filter embedded in the film and a realistic (though rather dark) color image was produced. http://www.screensound.gov.au/glossary.nsf/Pages/Dufaycolor?OpenDocument
